ACADEMIC CHALLENGES IN 2022
Hello, colleagues, today I would like to be able to talk about the dance career at the University of Chile. Studying dance at this university is very difficult but satisfying at the time of learning, because, really, one learns many things.
I think that some of the changes that could be made in your program would be to adapt the times allocated to the thesis and professional practice, since, they are both set in the last year and only last one semester, I would leave each thing one year taking into account the importance of these and all the study and research time that is needed in order to be able to take a good title exam, in addition to being able to be calm and not under stress.
The curriculum is well designed in terms of physical performance, dance theory and practice, on the other hand, the workload is quite high, but I think it's good to be able to learn with the necessary time in each subject. The dance career lasts four years of degree and two of specialty, interpreter or teacher, 6 years total and during all those years they teach you both practical things such as ballet, modern, contemporary dance, physical conditioning or also theoretical classes such as history of art, anatomy, choreographic discourse, movement analysis among others.
Personally, I don't like my college, it's in the heart of the city and it doesn't have green areas, it's a large old building and structural improvements are needed, I hope one day they can improve the conditions of my college where I study.
